Luckily for me, nothing sceduled in the middle of the basin so other than driving through (like I did on death valley last year) I get to avoid the worst of the desert heat. I'm thinking driving to the mountains is appropriate, or maybe Carlsbad Caverns... The caverns are the same temperature all year. Having lived in both very dry and very humid areas, I actually don't mind humidity that bad until it gets really hot.

That is a tough one... I've always lived here, but visited elsewhere. When it gets hot here, the humidity will rise in early morning as the sun strips the earth of morning dew, then it will drop suddenly by noon to sunset, stripping the body of it's moisture. Both are uncomfortable, both can be dangerous, I think it is best to understand how to react to either sever moist heat or dry heat. I can handle both, but I have to treat the heat much differently from here to more humid areas. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. The biggest item on the docket is going to a niece's wedding. It's a two-hour drive so I am not looking forward to losing 5+ hours of my Saturday. Oh well...

You know if you'd move that car and related parts out of the way, it'd be much easier to work in your shop! ;)

Pardon an impudent question, but: When that car was first manufactured, what was it?
