Place running application in Systray...

Now read this carefully! I don't want a program that will place programs in the task tray as it minimizes them. I'm looking for a program (similar to a free one I used to have and have since forgotten the name of) that will take a fully open application you are working in and place it into the systray. Yes, you are still working in the application, it just is not in the taskbar only the systray. I know that for most people there is no reason for a program like this but if you know of one that does it with stability let me know. I'm only needing it on XP. Why would I want this? Because I run a few programs 3 to be exact that monitor the status of servers on my network and the internet. I don't want them in the task tray. I want them out of the way. What about using a desktop manager for windows. Basicaly its the same thing as the 4 desktops in Linux. You have 4 little boxes in the system tray and can run all the apps on one desktop, then switch to a new one. Microsoft has a 'Virtual Desktop Manager' listed in their PowerToys http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx[^] This actually works for me, so I'm hoping you can use it.

I am using it and I like it. I'm wanting just a tiny bit more. Probably won't find it, even though it used to exist. I could write it but what a hassle. I'd rather pay the $19.99 and be done... Someone else mentioned a source forge solution. Going to have to see if I can get it and VDM to work either that or I'll have to code something if it really drives me nuts. Rex Winn

Now this is just a cool product! I cannot believe it's free but when you right click it still minimizes. I want to: 1. Keep the application up/visible. 2. Remove it from the taskbar. 3. Add it to the system tray. Very cool product though! Rex Winn
