Low on plot; low on acting skills; mediocre on continuity. But excellent for filling in the gaps that the others left wide open, and the effects have improved enormously.:-D It was well worth the $8.50 to find out what a Sith is. Boredom, Bull$^%&, Baggage, Bar - all start with 'B'

Revenge of the Sith is the best movie of the last quarter of a century.

One where great actors make the most of Tom Stoppard's (uncredited) sparse, elegant dialogue

If you ever wanted a masterclass in film acting, editing, sound design, the use of music, costuming, design, modern methods of using special effects to tell a story in cinema impossible to tell in any other medium, then this is it 10 Print 'Ha hah ha he ha har' 20 Goto 10 Lucas lobbied for Yoda to be nominated as Best Supporting Actor for Empire Strikes Back. I'm sure Harrison Ford was giddy knowing Georgie was pushing a puppet for an academy award.

:suss: Pssst. You see that little light on your monitor? That's actually a government installed spy camera. Smile and wave to big brother!

The 'love' scenes were cringeworty... I know Natilie Portman can act; I've seen her in other movies; she was very dissapointing in this. I blame Lucas! If I'd paid to go see it I'd want my money back!! (Our Manager expensed a few tickets for the troops.) The CGI & fight scenes were excellent though. Roger Wright wrote: and the effects have improved enormously. I actually thought they were overdone. What was is Obiwan said--"flying is for robots"? Well, the effects were so constantly shifting, perspective changing, etc., that only a robot could follow what was going on. I don't care about the critics; I had a blast ... great entertaining fun, just that, fun .. I get chills everytime I hear the first few notes of the Star Wars opening sequences.

Oh dear! I could even finished reading this article. The excess bias towards this movie was a bit much. Not even a hint of a flaw?

The Frankenstein scene at the near the end is priceless. I pissed myself laughing, when darth vader broke out of the thing holding him, when he was told what he had done.

Has there been a new Star Wars film? I had no idea... Glad you liked it - I'll wait for the DVD.

The problem with Star Wars was that it had an actual interesting story the first time around, the rest are special effects screen fodder, increasingly less interesting on a near logarithmic scale. And now that I've seen that home made star wars Revelations film and seen how easy those special effects are to duplicate for little or no budget I can't help but think what might have been if the money was spent on writing talent instead of making Yoda's cape swirl realistically. I hope that we start to see a golden age of classic sci-fi novels and stories brought to film (In fact I think we are starting to see this in it's infancy) because the special effects are now up to it and many of those books and short stories had real substance to them and very interesting themes and philosophy that you just don't see anywhere else. I've seen some very low budget "independant" films lately that are much more interestig, thought provoking, entertaining etc that any big budget thing to come from hollywood in...well I don't really know how long. More talented writers and less special effects people will cure hollywood (and the whole entertainment industry) of all that ails it right now.

It looks like something out of a cheap, low budget film. I also agree with the afore mentioned gripe about the lizard's chirping. It was ear splitting in the theater, and it just kept going on and on. But I still loved the movie in all. Heck, I've already seen it twice (tickets are only 4.50 for the early bird shows here in iowa). Brian Van Beek My Blog is Awesome, ok maybe not, but is still fun!!
