Hi, I have a new C++ graphical project and I'm looking for developers, for a "home job". (did you say "outsourcing" :) ?) This is something like a "second job" oportunity. I'm looking for chinese, indian or eastern europa guys because I'm not yet millionaire (may be the future Bill Gates is in progress with this new program  ) Everybody else is welcome but don't expect zillions dollars income :^) My question is: where can I find those guys on the web? Do you know some site where I can put some (free) ad? If you are interested, feel free to send me your questions (and resume)at jplilles@yahoo.fr Thank you very much in advance Best regards Guy

You could try Rent A Coder[^]. I'll warn you now - you are going to get voted down for posting this request in the Lounge. Partly knee-jerk, partly spite and partly because it's bordering being suitable for the 'Collaboration' forum (although the first part is still relavent here IMO).

You can probably find the programmers you want in China and India. As far as Europa is concerned, you should talk to HAL. ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. As David said, you can try outsourcing sites like RAC, but you should be very careful. Managing off-shore talent is very difficult - language, timezones, quality of work, etc. and not nearly as easy as people think. I would look at hiring a company experienced with subcontracting to off-shore contractors or you may end up very frustrated in the end and without the system you envisioned. If you use rentacoder, be prepared for headaches. I've been a rentacoder programmer, and it's not pretty. It's a good way to get a lousy job done for you on the cheap ( a lot of the work I did was fixing stuff that Indian and Chinese programmers had done via RAC, and made a mess of ). I do a lot of contract work myself, mostly graphics stuff as a result of my CP articles on image filters. One way to find people would be to look for articles and write to their authors, to see if they are interested in working with you. It's my opinion that $5 an hour Indians cost you money in the long run. If that's what you're after, count me out. However, I think that looking for people via online articles is a good idea, because you get to review their code first, and you can judge from the name if they are likely to work for third world rates, if that's all you're willing to pay. You could try Rent A Coder[^]. I'll warn you now - you are going to get voted down for posting this request in the Lounge. Partly knee-jerk, partly spite and partly because it's bordering being suitable for the 'Collaboration' forum (although the first part is still relavent here IMO).
