I next ordered a chopping block, an axe and a plucking knife... ;P Actually I have ordered groceries here in SA online and they delivered them perfectly. It is a great time saver, but you pay extra (delivery mainly) so I never tried it again. begin rant] Why would people use online grocery shopping, I can't even image doing online shopping for something, except books or CDs; and even with those, I usually go to music store and bookstores, just to browse and look around. I think people lost all perspective with all the online shopping, the pleasure of strolling up and down a street and looking at store fronts, going in a store, looking at what people are buying, Talking, yes, Talking to other people, asking question, and in the case of food, smelling, touching fruits, vegetables, meat and fish ( ok, maybe not touching the meat and fish ). Maybe I'm just lucky to be staying and working in an area that has everything at walking distance; when I walk from work, I can stop at the grocery store, the backery, and buy enough for a day or two, and if I need to buy large quantity, I do it by car, or have the store deliver. [end rant] I remember that there was some online grocery store in the SF area that didn't do well, not because the "buying" was bad, but because they forgot one thing, is that they had to deliver the food to their customers, and AFAIK, they screwed on that part... Max.

Also, You can use the old and proven solution of calling the grocery store; the store close my place does that! but I never use it, and just like you, I do it live, and buy take out if there's some available! David amongst other things in your phrase it sounded like "the odd times I buy food" -> "i don't buy food often" Does someone else buy food for you ? Or are you so busy doing important stuff that you are not eating correctly. Regardz Colin J Davies

I see where you are coming from now. I only buy one meal about every fortnight or so, and the rest of the time I prowl the streets and eat from trash cans (the localised equivalent of dining out). ;) Seriously though, I still eat two good meals a day plus snacks*, I just don't buy them myself. * I am a big believer in having a large breakfast and skiping a full lunch in favour of a sandwich or two - it gives me an extra hour per day and I still get the food intake necessary to keep me from falling into a coma. Skipping breakfast especially for younger people means they eat a lot of junk food during the day, when they have a high desire for energy. Eventually you will stop functioning, this has been proven with laboratory rats under controlled testing. :-) Some peoples metabolisms allows for them to go reasonable intervals without food where they burn up fats and other energy sources to replace there zero food intake.
