Does anyone here use demon internet? DO NOT! They say thier cancellation team does not have a phone number! it has me three weeks with no joy just trying to partially cancel an order. They are CRAP!:mad: bart
I've been using demon for quiet a few years now. Never had any technical problems with them. They messed up a direct debit last year when I switched over to 24x7 access but they were most helpful in correcting the matter. Michael :-)

Well, I am trying to change a customer's order. They do not support ASP as you well know. they wanted to charge around 300 ukp per month because they will only allow ASP on your own server. They used to go on about how NT was no good etc etc. I told them about hotmail - MSN. I have waited 3 weeks for them to fax me a cancellation form! They never seem to reply to e-mails etc. They are making it as difficult as possible. TO THINK I RECOMMENDED DEMON TO THAT CUSTOMER! Been with them since 1995 now, and still very happy with them. Top quality service - it's not free of course, but you get what you pay for. I know several friends who have been with Demon for over four years as well, they too are extremely happy with it. Just because you can't cancel easily, doesn't mean the whole service is "CRAP". I cancelled my Demon Account about 6 months ago and had no trouble at all finding the number and getting the account closed down. I don't know if things have changed since then but I'd be surprised. BTW, I left Demon because I wanted the cheap USB ADSL and they did not offer it at the time so I went to Pipex (who are great, BTW). Never had any problems with Demon myself, just they didn't offer the type of service I wanted.

Hmmm, I just posted off an email today cancelling my account with them (I got ADSL installed last week), I'm hoping it will not drag on too much like yours seems to. I do pay by credit card, so if worst comes to the worst I guess I could inform them! Regards, Ray

Not if u r dealing with them on a commercial basis. They actually told me to f*** off with my customers account because he wanted to use ASP! Now i am trying to do just that - they do not want to let go!!! Customer has been waiting 3 weeks for an upload to his website which does actually make him a profit! bart
