... have to download it and check it out; been running Mandrake (oops, Mandriva) 10.0 for a good bit and enjoy their system manager tools and whatnot. I have an older PII machine that I've wanted to drop a disto on for some DB testing, I'll have to give ubuntu Linux a shot ... No. You were missing the point. Here they hate Linux in all shapes and sizes. Look at the original post. Voted down just for mentioning Linux. There are a lot of people on this website who are so stupid and MS centric that it's almost not worth bothering to come here. X|

I think you are mistaking stupidity and MS Centricness for what is actually professionals that are making a living writing software and contributing to society in oh-so-many more ways than cranking out poorly written free software which "contributes" very little to a much smaller "society", however above all don't like poorly designed software.

Considering this site is dedicated to helping people out with Microsoft programming languages and environments, I can see why you think this site, and it's inhabitants, are MS centric. But "stupid"?!?! Nothing like insulting 2,000,000 people in one breathe. Drag your Linux-centric ass out the door if you don't like it here. If you hate MS that much, I bet you just went ape-s*** when they dropped that Windows machine in front of you at work. Hey, everyone has their preference for O/S's. I don't give a damn who thinks what is better. I happen to like Windows over Linux and you happen to be the opposite. SO WHAT?! If corporations want to drop Windows on 90% of their desktops, guess where I'm going to make my money! If they want to switch to Linux, who cares. I can support that too. Noone is going to remember you for your choice of O/S. Noone is going to carve "Linux 'til the end" on your grave stone. In the end, their just operating systems that we make money at supporting. The choice isn't a matter of intelligence, birth right, life or death. RageInTheMachine9532 "...a pungent, ghastly, stinky piece of cheese!" -- The Roaming Gnome

Stupid and "Closed minded" now? Since I just said that I can work in either environment without preference, or prejudice, how does that make me "closed minded"? You, on the other hand, take pride in bashing MS, or anyone who doesn't see the IT world your way. Which one of us is really "closed minded"? BTW: Notice I didn't call you "stupid". Hint, hint...
