I saw a similar story on Slashdot recently. They did a follow-up interview with a nerdcore rapper named "MC Pee Pants". Needless to say, I didn't read any further.

As a lapsed board wargamer I still find the role-players a highly amusing sub-species :) And when your daughter and son draw pictures of you as a computer geek (even though I'm not - honest) I think that the stigma still exists. Also, just because I code on PCs doesn't mean I know how they work or can fix them for you free of charge :) I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)
