The Movie. I've never heard of it, but rented it because I like Nicolas Cage. Also starring Jon Voight and Diane Kruger, it was one of the most delightful films I've seen in years! A convoluted, action-filled mystery/adventure about an ancient treasure, and a vast conspiracy spanning centuries to conceal it. I usually can spot the next clue in a mystery, but this one took several turns that caught me by surprise. If you happen to spy it on the shelf, I highly recommend it!:-D Yup - it's movie night, as I'm heartily bored with the bar scene. Time to shut down the brain, relax with a bottle of something nice and a kettle of popcorn, and let the entertainment begin. All I need is a snowy backyard, a roaring fire in the fireplace I don't have, a warm loving woman, and a bearskin rug to make the evening perfect. The rug is optional, of course. I think I'll light a candle, pretend the popcorn is snow, and hope someone nice will knock on the door...;) "...putting all your eggs in one basket along with your bowling ball and gym clothes only gets you scrambled eggs and an extra laundry day... A lot of people did like it apparently; I was *severely* dissapointed in almost every way with it after having high and completely different than reality expectations from seeing the previews. I thought it would be more intricate conspiracy and secrecy stuff with an interesting and involved plot and less Disney, but it was mostly Disney in the end. I think a lot of it has to do with not being American and so not actually relating to many of the themes in the story, but I must admit I'm in the minority I guess because everyone I know who saw it liked it as well. I guess I'm just more of a "Sean of the Dead" kinda guy. You should take up slow pitch softball Roger, not in the bar, easy for any age, good but not at all strenuous excercise and you meet a *lot* of great people if you find the right team. Every team has it's own "personality" and there's always one to suit.

It was a play on 3-D movies, where viewing images through different colored lenses brought out different features hidden in the document. A bit of a stretch, I know, but when I'm in the mood for entertainment I'm willing to suspend disbelief enough to allow the director some artistic license. How else could I enjoy space movies wherein energy weapons make noise in a vacuum?:-D "...putting all your eggs in one basket along with your bowling ball and gym clothes only gets you scrambled eggs and an extra laundry day... We had a bar league on Sundays where I last lived; I loved it, but we played to lose. It's a bear playing when you wear glasses, though. Here it's too bloody hot most of the year to play, and the rest of the year the wind blows 40 mph and it's frigid. I'll stick to karate, thanks...:) "...putting all your eggs in one basket along with your bowling ball and gym clothes only gets you scrambled eggs and an extra laundry day... " - Jeffry J. Brickley

:laugh::laugh: Sort of... They steal the Declaration of Independence for starters, just to protect it from the bad guys who are planning to steal it and possibly mutilate it. Saw it a few weeks back. Great fun to watch. Cute babe too. I really dug Franklin's multi-functional 3D glasses. Just returned from seeing the latest Batman movie. Far superior to the others. Which isn't really saying much in some cases, but nonetheless, an adventurous romp with some good fights, interesting villains and a sweet batmobile. BW

And them singing canaries get it.
                    Even strawberries get it.

I'm looking forward to seeing that one - it's playing this weekend at the local theatres. Second feature tonight was slightly charred popcorn and The Bourne Conspiracy. What a pleasant escapist flick! I wish I had amnesia - think of all the fun, socially unacceptable behaviors I could get away with until the nice men in white coats finally caught up with me. A brain tumor would be almost as much fun, especially if it wasn't real. I've always wanted to climb a tall tower on a Monday morning, with a high-power rifle, lots of ammo, and a case of Twinkies, only to wait for a school bus to drive by. Perfectly normal, I know - we all feel that way, I'm sure. But timing is everything, and the Voices in my head haven't told me yet that the time is right. Someday... brianwelsch wrote: Cute babe too Indeed! Last month we saw that movie in the dollar theatre. I liked it and my kids loved it. When the DVD of the movie released, I rented the movie as my kids wanted to see it again. :) After I watched movie, I did some research on Silence Dogood letters. ;) and my 7 yr old tried her best to find any secrets on the dollar bill. ;)
