Free mdb database editor?

Hi, do you know a free database editor for mdb databases? Something like Microsoft Access, but it must be free (also, no trial version). It doesn't need to have hundreds of features, just a small database viewer where I can quickly change some cells, not more. I searched around for hours now, but didn't find any..

How about the 'Base' component of OpenOffice[^]? Technical footnotes BASE includes a full version of the HSQL database engine, storing data in XML files. It can also access dBASE files natively for simple database work. For more advanced requirements, BASE supports many popular databases database natively (Adabas D, ADO, Microsoft Access, MySQL), or any database through industry-standard ODBC and JDBC drivers. It also supports any LDAP compliant address book, as well as common formats such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Windows, and Mozilla. I haven't tried it myself, but their other components (for word processing, spreadsheets etc.) look very promising. Cheers, Drew.

It just puts up a message saying they don't have time (i.e. are completely lazy) to support the "myriad of browsers" out there and I should go download my free copy of IE from Microsoft....!!! -- Andrew.

Apologies for the 'anonymous' post - it really was me, honest :-)! (I noticed the problem when I went to modify the message to correct my 'there'/'their' confusion. There website doesn't work in FireFox. At all. It just puts up a message saying they don't have time (i.e. are completely lazy) to support the "myriad of browsers" out there and I should go download my free copy of IE from Microsoft....!!! -- Andrew.
You're right and you're wrong. When I built merrens.com I was working with banks whose sites only supported IE so have tended to concentrate on designing for that platform exclusively since the few other browsers out there (Netscape, for instance) at that time were not of concern and the site was just a bit of frippery for me. I didn't even bother to check if others were using it. Apparently they are! (It was supposed to be a place I could dump all of my bookmarks as I moved around so much). However, times have changed and the site is being rebuilt and will be able to cope with most of the browsers it gets opened in and to be more available to a wider and more discerning audience. My apologies if it has caused you inconvenience and the new site will be released in about 6 weeks (golf permitting). Oh, and the 'message' was supposed to be funny. I guess my wife is right: I really don't have a sense of humour!
