I wasnt talking abt individuals who wanted to get american jobs to make more money CG. I was talking about countries who wanted to do what they do. Americans are the creators of the worst scientific discovery ever [the atomic bomb] And every other country is now doing the same. On a nation-nation basis I bet lotsa little countries try to ape these americans. ape? LOL. yeah, ape. Nope, we really don't give a damn what other people think. Other people think americans don't give a damn what they [americans] think. It has been shown that other people from the USA who don't think about others who actually do think that thoughtless and thoughtfull people from the USA tend to think more or less about others, well other others. I personally think it is more of "who wouldn't want to live here" than "everyone wants to be an American". (Well, I am sure there are assholes who think everyone wants to be an American, but I haven't met them.) In my mind there is a huge difference between the two statements. The former says that the USA is a nice place to live. The later has that nasty tone of "You country sucks, you know it, we know you know it, I bet you want to come to the USA". I can do without the later. There is so much grand stuff in the world. It would be VERY boring if everyone was American. Other cultures, religions, attitudes, etc make the world an interesting place. Europe has great history. Australia has... Well, New Zealand has beautiful landscape. Australia has... Egypt has some of the great wonders of the world. Australia has... Hmm... Australia has a lot of GOD DAMN POISONOUS CREATURES!!!! :) Tim Smith Descartes Systems Sciences, Inc.

Hopefully the French have shutdown their old air collect nuke power plants. Back when I worked at the EPA in the radiation division, only France, Russia, and American military was still using those damn things. (can you say Chernobyl?) I saw the data from Chernobyl. It wasn't media hype. That was a huge disaster. The radiation cloud circled the earth twice before it dispersed to much to be detected over normal radiation levels. It's easy - the major failing most Americans have is they seem to think everyone else wants to be one. Christian I have come to clean zee pooollll. - Michael Martin Dec 30, 2001 Picture the daffodil. And while you do that, I'll be over here going through your stuff.

Americans' ideas on Canada. The movie "Canadian Bacon" (last movie of the great John Candy) put all the stereotypes together and so obviously so (to me at least). The best thing was watching it with an american friend of mine and how she didn't get all the stereotypes.;P It was a good movie that poked fun of both Canadians and Americans.

We have lots of curry munchers here, too. The government provides it to old people, as it helps cover the flavor of the pet food they're forced to live on because they can't afford food and medication.
