:-D That's because I think Rowling borrowed a lot of concepts from Tolkien, most notably an always*-behind-the-scenes baddie whose name nobody utters. I consider Harry Potter a bit more of a 'kids book' but don't look down upon people who read it. * In the case of V*ldemort, mostly.
