Insane...

Today has just been insane for me. These past 2 weeks have been crazy but today is just wild. I have been in work since 6:30 this morning and am not leaving for another 3-3 1/2 hours. We are releasing a new version of our app tonight and I also have to test another app I have been writing against the new version that is going into production...on top of that I got a new project yesterday that is due in 4 weeks (I will be on a much need vacation for 1 of those weeks). On top of that I have another application that I am fix bugs in and adding new features. Just writting all of this down is making me tired. How is everyone elses day going?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. We shouldn't assume something's debugged just because everyone in the whole world has access to the source code.

Well, a client called with a sort-of-crisis just as we were leaving NY to go back to RI for our final house cleaning, so I was fixing a couple bugs on my laptop while my girlfriend was driving down I-90. I was even able to check the changes in using my wireless cell-phone thingy (Merlin PCS Vision card)! So, how many people do you know that can debug a client-server app and check in the changes at 70MPH (not doing the driving, of course)? :) Marc My website

If you have time, this video on Agile Development[^] might give you a few hints on how to spend less time working. Other than that I'm having a good day. Although I'm having one of those ideas days, where I keep coming up with whacky ideas for how to develop software quicker. It'll clear up by tomorrow though :-D Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

Let me see... I'm working on an app (unfinished) that we did training on yesterday, and have another class scheduled for tomorrow (In VFP! aarrgghh!). I'm also working on an Access(VBA) project that we're taking over from a private developer that had NO IDEA what she was doing. I've also been elected to be the assistant NetAdmin (which I know nothing about (and we have Linux and Windows servers)). Our actual admin is out for the day, so I've got my fingers crossed because something will go wrong right before it's time for me to leave. Still gotta work out (I usually lift weights 3 times a week) today. Still gotta call a couple of female 'friends' so that they don't become irate that I haven't called in 24 hours. Gotta do laundry. Do some housekeeping. And to top it all off, it looks to be about 90 degrees outside. My articles www.stillwaterexpress.com BlackDice
