        No use them ActiveX is the best thing going. Regardz Colin J Davies The most LinkedIn CPian (that I know of anyhow) :-)

            You could deploy your website as a HTA application, this may get around the issue of the user having to manually enable ActiveX: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/hta/overview/htaoverview.asp[^]

              Baskar: CP Forum 'Lounge' normally does not take Programming Questions. You may like to post this question to 'WebDevelopment' forum rather. Also, regarding this query, you can only query the Active/DeActive status of ActiveX Programmatically, in JavaScript. Enabling/Disabling will be at the hands of IE Users/Administrators for security reasons.
