Yesterday evening, I met one of my high school classmate. He is doing Amway business. He ask me to join Amway. Just only cost me 60% of my daliy salary a year to be a member. He said Amway is the future. Just like supermarket beat down normal store. The selling mode of Amway will beat down supermarket. Now Amway is the No.19 of the best private company in the US. He quoted that once in Korea, Bill Gates said that within 5 years there will be a huge company grow up to be the most powerful company around the world, and that company is Amway. Bill also said the selling mode and the income distribution mode of Amway is impeccable. He also told me that the former US president George Bush is a member of Amway. He said the products of Amway is totally environmental friendly. It earns the environment award of Unite Nations which only award two companies around the world. And their products are more better than any other company, like P&G. He said Amway help a lot of people to be success and millionaire. They all live in a luxury way. So is it the truth? Please help! Thank you very much!

After about two years they quit as while they were bringing in decent money the work effort was just too much. You could get richer selling the normal way at that work rate. There are rich Amwayers. Just not as numerous or as easy as they make out. I'd say unless you love to sell, give it a miss and do something you enjoy rather. The products are pretty good though. Expensive though. regards, Paul Watson South Africa PMW Photography Gary Kirkham wrote: The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the cliché...Star Trek had it in spades.

Amway products are of passable but not excellent quality. They are no more environmentally friendly than many other products you can buy at the supermarket. They are FAR more expensive in the long run than buying products outside. But most importantly, Amway is a pyramid organization, though they will deny it to the death. Amway people do not make their money selling products. They make their money recruiting others (building a downline) to recruit others, who recruit others, ad inifinitum. It is a super-reactionary ultra-right-wing evangelical organization that tells lies. I formerly was sucked into Amway. I know a thing or two about it. Avoid them like the plague.

I actually know quite a bit about this business. It's not or should not now be Amway it should be Quixstar or something like that. Jay Van Andle (SP?) and his brother started Amway in the 60's or there abouts. It's a totally legitimate company and it's just like any other real business. You start at the bottom and if you work very hard you can make a lot of legitimate money. The thing they don't tell you is there are as many millionaires in Amway as there are in regular business. Amway just provides a business model, product and product channel for people who really want to work for themselves but don't have any ideas to use on their own. Amway is a huge corporation and companies like Coke, Toshiba, Dell all have a very strong relationship with the Amway corporation. Tons of product is moved through Amway and it's a big deal. The problem really is that you pay just a tiny bit more for everything then you would at a store. They offset that by making sure it's quality stuff. You make money be establishing and sustaining sales volume. The more product moving through you and people you sponsor (sponsor means get involved and signed up) the more money you make. It's a brilliant concept but very over-played in America. It's extremely legal though. I know many people in it that make a lot more money than those who sponsored them. Truly if you work hard you'll reap the rewards. But understand that Amway and the people involved will become your new social group. Your current friends who don't get involved will stear very clear from you because they do not like the Amway sales tactics and they will extend that to cover you the new salesman. Your own family will likely tire of you. How it works: When you sign up you get a business kit. It used to be $150 to get going. Once you sign up they tell you about all sorts of organized Amway events in your community. They get you around hi-profile Amway success stories and they encourage you to listen to several audio tapes or CD's a week (you have to buy them). Then you hear all these very real milliionaires talk about their Amway success stories. Then they ask you to put together a list of names and phone numbers of everyone you know. This will include your dentist, doctor, boss, friends, family, etc... Then they will sit with you while you call all of them on the phone and don't tell them much of anything other than "new business opportunity" and you try to get time to meet them and their spouse if they have one. You call about 400 people and expect less than a 5% succe

I hope I could do my own business like you. Not always work for another people. I hope I can get financial freedom. But I don't know where to begin. Could you please give me some advice? Thank you very much!
