Hi, I would like to find a tool that can periodically (quite fast, some seconds would be good) take a screenshot of my windows XP desktop and put it on the web (via ftp for example), so that remotely I can see the content of my desktop. This is not a spy software that I am looking for, it can be seen on the remote desktop that this tool is running, and this is not a VNC solution that I want. Just an automatic screenshot taker and publisher so that I can consult the screenshot even behind a firewall via usual http. Thank you

Try using the free version of logmein http://www.logmein.com[^] you can use it on up to 3 machines. It's accessible from a web browser and it uses a Peer-To-Peer 256-Bit SSL connection. It's very fast, agile and it's a great product. I currently own 70 licenses of their LogMeIn IT product for use with my clients. I use it behind Cisco PIX, SonicWALL TZ-170, SonicWALL TZW, SonicWALL Soho3, Watchguard Firebox and none of them require any modification at all as it goes out over port 80. It should suit you very well. - Rex

It's a product I've grown to love a lot. More than 50% of my revinue as a business comes from that product. It's a big deal to me. If you have questions about it let me know. I'm a partner with them and I'm in constant contact with their sales team and have a lot of chats with their developers. They are a great company. - Rex
