Open-Source-Explorer?
-
Is there a kind of "open source explorer" (not for net, for files!) like the Windows-Explorer or old-school filemanager? I tried customizing the explorer eith shell extensions, but it didn't work! Any suggests? mfg HintiFlo
Write your own. This has got to be one of the easiest programs to write. Probably wouldn't take more than a few hours to get a decent one running. And then you can tweak it all you want. Jason Gerard

"it didn't work"?? What didn't work? Sigh. Anyway, goto http://developmentor.com and look for the WTL samples downloads. There's an explorer-type app in there. ___________ Klaus [www.vbbox.com]

HintiFlo wrote: I tried customizing the explorer eith shell extensions, but it didn't work! Any suggests? Sure - first, put this in the programming forum. Second, look in code project / code g*r* and see if anyone else has examples. Third, it would help a lot if you told us what you were tring to do in the first place. Like, perhaps, posting your code in the C++ forum (just a suggestion)
