70's Disco, 70's Glam rock, 70's Punk, 50's Rock n Roll, Kraftwerk, Yello, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Sugababes and the lovely Charlotte Church ;)(new stuff not choir stuff) I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

Being 21 :) I'm more into Hip-hop,R&B, Oldschool rap:cool::-D, soft rock. But I like 50's rock&roll hehe it makes you feel good and makes you want to freak out. However i don't like the very very hardcore rock like Slipknot and stuff, i prefer some guitar like rage against the machine hehe, AND I Definitely do not like Techno or house music!!! X| But i do like breakbeats :) Always trust your techno lust

Anything other than country & western, ululating nomadic folk music, any 'new age' music. Actually, any folk music. Everything else is good.
Stoopid signatures...

Everytime I've fallen in love with a song, it's taken me less than a couple of weeks to tire of it :-(

I'm quite enjoying some of the stuff from the Mash-Up scene at the moment, such as DJ BC's The Beastles and The Kleptones A Night at the Hip-Hopera Plus various bits of prog rock (Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Frameshift's Unweaving the Rainbow), the Daft Punk albums Discovery and Human After All, and the Sack Trick album Sheep in KISS Make-up

David Sylvian, Celtic folk (Altan, Capercaillie, Tanahill Weavers), 80's pop (Japan, Tears for Fears, Smiths), Gong, Ozric Tentacles, Tori Amos, Vaughan Williams. Really dislike: opera, random-note jazz, modern pop.

Hip-hop / Rap predominantly

Rob Manderson wrote: Manderson you include yourself :-D. mm you're right, I like to hear myself playing too. (yes, it's probably somebody else ;)) No hurries, no worries.
V. wrote: you include yourself Uh huh. Back in the 1970's I wrote three symphonies, two string quartets and one string quintet. Even heard my first and second symphonies performed (by the Harrietville Symphony Orchestra) and both quartets. Crap music if I must be honest but it was a blast to hear something I'd written being played. I wish I still had the tapes... Indie rock and roll mainly, with Radiohead being my favourite band of all time. Currently enjoying heavy rotation of: "X&Y" by Coldplay. "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" by Bright Eyes. "Funeral" by Arcade Fire. "Back to Bedlam" by James Blunt. "The Man Who Sold The World" by David Bowie. "The Bravery" by The Bravery. "Hot Fuss" by The Killers. "Elevator" by Hot Hot Heat.

Baconbutty wrote: The Sensational Alex Harvey Band Definitely one of my all time favourite bands. When I'm all alone on a deserted island with only a handful of vinyl, Framed (Live) will be one of them. Chris Meech I am Canadian. [heard in a local bar] Remember that in Texas, Gun Control is hitting what you aim at. [Richard Stringer] Nice sig! [Tim Deveaux on Matt Newman's sig with a quote from me]

Lately, I've been listening to random mix with Hendrix, Beatles, Kinks, Dave Matthews, Van Morrison, U2, Gordon Lightfoot, Foreigner, Chuck Prophet, Joss Stone, etc. But I'll always switch back to Queens of the Stone Age, Megadeth, Saxon, and other Hard Rock/Metal. I like Classical, Techno, Hip Hop, Punk, World, New Age, but my first love is 70s/80s Hard Rock/Metal/Thrash whatever you want to call it so long as some guitarists fingertips are hard at work bending, hammering and blazing up the fretboard.
