I had the oddest dream last night and for once I actually remembered what it was about once I woke up. A traffic junction with big bushes everywhere. On one side a long desk, a co-worker sitting at one end in front of a state of the art PC (it just looked state of the art, you know, that blue glow, the sweeping curves, the heat radiating from the box.) At my end, I just knew it was my end, of the desk was a notepad, no, a paper-notepad, and a pen. I sit down and the co-worker asks when the Kibble specification will be ready. I panic as in exactly 2 minutes I will fall asleep (yes, in my dream I thought I was going to fall asleep in two minutes exactly) and I have only done half the spec. I start scribbling on the paper-notepad. I write down the address of the central server, \\bgctnt01. Nothing, no connection. I notice my handwriting is terrible, as it has always been, and think the notepad is not recognising it (told you this was a weird dream.) I write a bit neater, but forget the \\. I then do it properly, but still nothing, a blank page. I panic more, 1 minute to go. The co-worker is hovering. I start flipping pages, look underneath the notepad. Damn where is the UTP cable port? Where is the USB port, what about the COM port, anything! Arrgghhhh, where is the reset button! I look for ctrl-alt-delete. Nothing! I panic more and stand up hurriedly throwing the pen to one side, chair falling back into the road. As the dream fades and I wake up I remember it is just a paper-notepad and that it cannot connect to a network. So, I ask you, WTF does that dream mean?  regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Sonork ID: 100.9903 Stormfront

It is your sub-conscious telling you to quit being a VB/ASP developer and become a C++ programmer instead :-) Michael :-)

Is it this shiny disk with "J++" on it? Oh, and how do you do a hello world programme? Oh and can I use it in my ASP pages? What about web services? *looks eagerly towards you for C++ knowledge* You can be my mentor, it will be difficult and long and I may complain a lot but at least I will be using C++, right? ;P regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge Sonork ID: 100.9903 Stormfront

Often when I have a nap in the late afternoon I am still awake enough to "think" thoughts, yet see the completely unrelated visual images(dream pictures) being produced by them. Seems to me there is some process/problem in your live that you feel unequipped to handle on your own without additional assistance. Also the person presenting you with the challenge seem to not only have all the necessary knowledge/tools whatever but is giving you unsufficient time to come up with the right solution. Meanwhile you are desparately looking for the secret knowledge inside yourself. As you wake up you realize you are just a paper notepad and will never understand the way women think:laugh: . To make things more interesting every person in a dream is suppose to represents ourselves:confused: Grasp it but you cannot get it! It's name is memory..

It means you must cleanse your soul by many very expensive counselling sessions . Either that or this is just one of the dregs one has to put up with to really appreciate the ones with seven nymphomaniacs and a bottle of baby oil .

Have you been talking to Janina? I came to the same assumption btw, however, we all know what they say about assumptions. What do you dream about then David? Broken keyboards? I can imagine it fitting into Romeo and Juliet, the narrator uttering the prophetic words as the first scene fades in. So do you have any clue which two nations my dream is talking about? I assume one, the paper-notepad, is a backward third world country while the other, the state-of-the-art PC, is a progressive first world country.
