It will be white with brown spots and little cotton socks and it will fetch my paper in the morning (though how it is going to logon, dial up and type the URL in I don't know, will have to be a smart dog, with fingers.) It won't chase cats because Janina loves cats and she will have one, called Dead or Fishbreath or something. No, but I am saying that people should read up on the proper usages of the words your and you're. Your is a possessive and You're is You Are. :) Did I just break another CP Lounge rule? ---- xian

If we're being picky though, and I like to be picky, you'll acknowledge that you should never start a sentence with the word "And". >> And you're going straight to English class, mister! :-D Sorry to dissapoint you all with my lack of a witty or poignant signature.

I used to think that too, but I've seen so many formal texts that begin sentences with "and" that I have disregarded that notion. ---- xian

English is not my mother tongue, but I think you should say: "You're going straight to class of English" What I mean is that the class is not English, English is what you recieve in that class. ;P

*lol* No one talks like that. Hahaha! When I started the sentence with And it was meant to be an "addition" to his sentence in "thought," if you can understand that. Oh yeah, "You're going straight to English class" would be perfectly correct. ---- xian

It's quite acceptable now, and often helps to improve the continuity of a thought process too lengthy or complex to express in a single, excessively verbose compound, complex sentence. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of simple minds.
