I have a question for you. It is true that there is something like a gouverment organisation called "Nasscon" or similar which sells licences in order to allow a local indian company to import software from other companies in other countries? And without a "Nasscon" license they are not allowed to import any software? Cheers bb |~ bb

Nasscomm is just a government body to promote and help Indian software services companies. They do not sell any licences - they do not have any regulatory powers. I think their main job seems to be lobbying foreign countries on behalf of the big IT companies for more liberal work permits. They are not much help to the small startups. Any company in India can import software and hardware duty free - upto a maximum value of their exports.
