It's funny, I've never seen Saturday Night Fever, but I've enjoyed other Travolta movies, like this one.[^] Though, he had a couple loser movies, IIRC, but there were a couple other good ones too, I thought. Must not have been that good though, as I can't remember them! Marc My website

Latest Articles: Object Comparer String HelpersBrian De Palma's 1981 thriller is something of a homage to Michelangelo Antonioni's masterful Blowup, though there are hints of Francis Ford Coppola's paranoia-inducing Conversation sprinkled throughout. Blowup and Conversation are two of my favorite films. I'll have to check out Blow Out. I still think of Travolta as that burnout (Vinny?) from watching Kotter re-runs. Pulp is the best thing I've seen him in. He is smart. He will make our Windows go.

Brian De Palma's 1981 thriller is something of a homage to Michelangelo Antonioni's masterful Blowup, though there are hints of Francis Ford Coppola's paranoia-inducing Conversation sprinkled throughout. :laugh: Ian McDonald had a very similar scene in his latest SF book, River of Gods. I wonder which came first, the DJ reading his book or Ian reading about these silent "discos"*. Ah well. I am off to my own private disco as I put my headphones on and begin work. :-D * I am amazed the DJs themselves call it a disco.
