I started running a few months ago and definitely love my Rio. Being the typical programmer that can barely hook up a monitor, it was definitely nice to simply plug this device in and have my music on my hip in no time. Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

Well if you have cash to burn get the Apple iPod. Easily the best MP3 player out there. And there is software out there which lets it work with PCs now, so it is not just for MAC users anymore. It is expensive though ($400 or so.) Otherwise RIO players are good. I saw today that Imation have a player that is a CDR recorder, and uses the CDRs for media, but the catch is it's so small it only uses the mini CD's. They have PC software for the iPod now? That sounds cool, I was looking at the new Rio Riot, its 20GB, but its just a little too big and uses USB instead of firewire. Neil Van Eps

A friend of mine recently bought the Nomad from Creative Labs (www.Creative.com). Has an optional 20 or 30 gig hard drive, about the size of a Sony Walkman. He's had nothing but good things to say about it, and has transferred his entire music collection over to it.
