I've just downloaded and installed Opera 8.5 and something very weird is happening: The main window can either be maximised or viewed at around 800 x 600 (or thereabouts). The resize handle is there, but I can't physically resize the window when non-maximised. Please tell me this is just a setting I need to change, and it's not by design... [Edit: More info - when I launch Opera it's fine, but when I maximise then restore it's no longer resizeable. Anyone else able to replicate?] cheers, Chris Maunder

I haven't DLed the new version yet, but it's either one of the new UI changes they add in every version or a bug.

Works OK for me Chris. I downloaded 8.5 yesterday to test against some CSS I have been working on, and I am quite impressed with it.

Are you going to bother adding better forum support for Opera or do you think it's a waste of effort?

I'll certainly test, but previous versions of Opera have crashed when trying to use the code and with 1% of market share it's not been a priority. cheers, Chris Maunder

I think that is the result of the so-called cross platform applications. Even Firefox has different behaviors in Windows and Linux. I really prefer the Windows edition. It is also faster... I don't like Opera, because it never renders the page correctly. I'm going to try this new release... CodeProject's Server wrote: HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error

It worked fine for me. Tested it on Win98SE and Win2K.

It depends, if that 1% of users produces 99% of my profits then yes I would.

And if you drag on the very corner of the window? I noticed that the resize cursor is shown over the whole resize handle, I can only resize if drag on the very corner of the window itself.

                        It's working fine on XP.
