What is this Sonork thing y'all sign your posts with? Uh, and what's CPUA? And what is - is there any ? - the correct English word for adressing the 2nd plural person(s)? I know Dutch, French, German and Spanish has one, why doesn't English have one? Oh, and the meaning of life? Georg Haan (.NL)

Thanks, Matt:laugh:  I've never been to the hill country before, and the folks there aren't inclined to visit here (they claim the hot sand burns their bare feet), so I haven't had a chance to hear "y'uns."

Glenn Dawson wrote: All y'all better stop pickin on us southerners. No insult intended. In fact, one of the sweetest girls I ever dated was from the South. I still remember our first night in bed. I asked, "Is this your first time?" The little darling rolled her eyes up in deep concentration for a moment, then asked, "Does family count?" Such innocence, I miss her still! But the revenoors got that, of course.

At least you left off "Youse" ;) I grew up in Atlanta, and was taught the proper way to use "Y'all"! "You" is singular "Y'all" is plural (you all) It still sounds dumb, but you can tell a northerner trying to fit in when they mis-use the word (and their bad driving, and so on) :omg:
