The 20D is a far better camera, but have you looked at the 5D? Now that is a camera cheers, Chris Maunder

Quick straw poll: Canon 350D or 20D? Any particular reason? Cheers, Jon

The 350D would be more than good enough for me at the moment...I really couldn't justify the extra cost of the 20D. Mind you, I'd be hard pressed to justify buying an A620 right now, let alone even the 350D. Anna :rose: Riverblade Ltd - Software Consultancy Services Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. Meh. Why don't you get a real camera[^]?

Graham can start his talk at Pop!Tech with a distant landscape shot of San Diego, shot from 3 kilometers away. Graham selects one percent of that image and zooms in - there’s no meaningful blurring or distortion. So he zooms in again. Now we’re looking inside a hotel room - from 3 kilometers away - and we can make out the bed, the paintings on the walls, the patterns on the curtains.

20D because it's more solid. (I'm really trying to save up for a 1DII but I guess I have to admit defeat and get the 20D) '--8<------------------------ Ex Datis: Duncan Jones Merrion Computing Ltd

I own the 350D (Rebel XT). I love this camera. :-D The body is just a tad smaller than the 20D, which some people don't like, and a little lighter. I tried the 20D as well in the store and it is very nice. It shoots at 5 frames per second where as the 350D is just under 3 per second. Both cameras have a very fast power up time of less than 1 second. Recovery time between shots is also very quick at around 1 second. Battery life is also very good with the 350D. The reason I bought the 350D was because I could take the money I saved and bought a 75-300 Zoom lens with image stabilization. Later I picked up a 4Gig Microdrive and that will allow me to shoot over 1000 photos at full resolution. Kelly Herald Software Developer MPC

I am one of those that the article mentions is surprised by the lack of a lithium battery. For $7K, they could have included one I would think ;) Rocky <>< Latest Post: SQL Server 2005, Major Enhancements! Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]

                      You'd think so, wouldn't you?
