I made it ... so what do I do with it ? (personal projects are so lonely) I have been working on an OpenGL project, which is a kind of CAD application. The requirements for a vector oriented drawing program to become a true and professionally useful CAD application is actually a monumental task which for timely results, needs several developers, not just one. I have to settle for just making a 3D vector drawing program. Yes, I am using OpenGL for the 3D and its Z-buffer feature. I am not majoring on rendering. I am interested on how my application helps users draw and model in 3D. So far, I am its only user. I can imagine a lot about features. This kind of keeps my project in the "Alpha" stage of development. A bit of inspiration comes from a product called SketchUp. "Beta" stage means that the project is feature complete. My web site home.earthlink.net/~rdwofrdw[^] is where I have screenshots. Some Job Search sites say one should be busy with something that exercises one's job skills. I cannot work on my project indefinitely in isolation. How do I find the social benefits that my project could potentially bring? Does it get me a job that I would like? Does this become a business? Thanks, -RonDW
