Like most DHTML, it's all about the coolness factor. I used to spend hours on Bratti's site trying to figure out how I could use his cool ideas - the proverbial "solution in search of a problem". However, in the end I came to realize it was just UI candy and not really "useful", but nice to look at and admire in terms of the programmer's abilities and creativity. It's the subtle things that make it so good, like double clicking on certain window features to perform actions, etc. Once I had been looking at a few of the features I tried to bring up the display properties from the desktop to change the resolution. :doh:
