My questions is regarding the performance of Switching technologies. Compute the end to end delay for: 1) Circuit Switching (Set up+ data transfer+ Closing) 2) Virtual Circuit packet switching (Set up+ data transfer+ Closing) 3) Datagram packet switching (Data transfer) for these specific values: #links= L= 10 hops Message(M)= 560000 bits Packet (P)= 8192 bits rate (R)= 56000 bps headers (H)= 192 bits Call Setup (S)= .5 sec Call closing (C)= 0125 sec Prop Delay per link (D)= .0005 sec I don't know how to use Message, Packets and headers . How to calculate that? if I am not wrong Data Transfer = D prop+ D trans+ node delay Please help Thanks Preeti9
