Platform SDK (huge freeing up hard drive)
-
I have Microsoft Visual Studio Team Suite Edition Beta installed at a whopping 2,297 MB. I also have Microsoft Platform SDK (3790.1830) and Microsoft Platform SDK (Windows XP SP2)(2600.2180) (937MB, 446MB) installed as well. Now I don't believe that VS2005 installed the platform SDK, but I am not sure. I would like to remove it, but I don't want to mess up the projects I am working on in Visual Studio. I also have Visual Studio 6.0 installed as well. Isn't the platform SDK built into Visual Studio? If I removed it and something broke, would it be as easy as reinstalling it to fix it? Kevin

VC7 came with a build of the PSDK, I wouldn't be surprices if VC8 did the same. But you have to be careful of which PSDK build you use with VC6, I think Feb 2003 is the last release that works with 6 - the LIBs in the later builds didn't work with 6. --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~!
