What are you using? I just checked the new version of Wise for Windows Installer and.. "not impressed". Inno is to much manual labor for complex stuff.

SdLicenseRtf and SdLicense2Rtf now support up to 64K of data; previously, the limit was 32K. Holy dancing cow! A 64K Licence document? No, I don't want to know who requested that.

MSI seems to me the perfect solution to problems I never even heard of. Editing the tables "(progra-)manually" seems such a tricky thing - how come you do that?!

An ancient version of InstallShield for an ancient C++ app I still maintain, MSI for C#, and most preferably, simply a zipped file of the EXE and related assemblies. Marc VS2005 Tips & Tricks -- contributions welcome!

Actually, you are refering to a Windows Installer (a.k.a. MSI) property. Nothing to do with InstallShield. But AFAIK, it's their IDE that takes the prize X|

boost your code || Fold With Us! || sighistWe can add a DLL to our product's setup by merely editing a special text file that the builder interprets. No need to launch a GUI and then wait for some third-party tool to run. Our custom setup builder is one of the later stages of the nightly build. We ran into issues trying to automate both Wise AND InstallShield to our satisfaction. Secondly, there are no licensing issues 'per machine' with our custom tool. No shirt, no shoes, no brains, no service.
