So I want to use firefox on another machine. I really don't want to have to download all the extensions and do all the settings all over again... Tell me there's an extension or something that just lets you copy stuff and .tar it or something for use on another Windows box... Is there an easy way to migrate? - Rex

      It's all in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox.

Just copy that around and you'll be good. :)

And that's not all. I just discovered this cool concept called "object oriented design". I can't wait to convert my subroutines to class methods! :-D -Ravi Bhavnani on finally installing XP SP2...in December 2005

I kind of figured it would be that simple. That's one thing I love about the Linux influence on Windows products. Be nice if Windows was like that. All permissions and execution instructions stored in the files. Nothing like a good ol .conf to make life easy... None of this regsvr32 /r sillyCOMidea.dll

Hey, I've got a 1 gig thumb drive and they now have 4 gig thumb drives. So 74 mb... that's smaller than most service packs and hot-fixes coming out of Microsoft... Every time a new exploit is discovered the seem to rewrite and release about 1/4th the original Windows XP install... Not complaining it's a bit on the funny side though. I have yet to deploy an application that wasn't media rich as large as their smallest service pack. heheheheh

Yes, and I think MS has seen the light is moving in that direction too. For example, Xcopy deployment with .NET apps.
