How does your desk at home look like? How would it look like if it weren't for your wife/kids/mother/international law? MyDesk (new window) Feel free to share a picture. I think we have the same folding chessboard, Visual C++ 1.52 CD, and probably the record albums. The maroon album cover looks a bit like LA Woman (Doors). :) /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Music | Articles | Freeware | Trips ravib(at)ravib(dot)com

I'm sure it's to keep the chicks out. With all the marvelous ladies climbing into geek windows at night, it's hard to get some serious work done.

We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.

These days, with outsourcing and Linux, we know programming is not so lucrative as in the past, but I didn't expect you to earn a living selling monitors, Marc.

Sometime I think I'd rather be a salesman than a programmer. But then I remember, I'm not much of a people person. I do a lot of client/server development, and for one client (can you guess?) there's all this hardware hanging on the Ethernet, so I also have a simulator running to help debug all the code. And I frequently have several remote desktop connections up at the same time. :~ Marc VS2005 Tips & Tricks -- contributions welcome!

That's odd. I use dual monitors on both laptops without problem. But, hmmm... if, by multiple, you mean more than two video outs on a single machine, I've never tried that configuration. Marc VS2005 Tips & Tricks -- contributions welcome!

It is a candle (if it's the one you mean) Cracker you mean as in "fire cracker"? Or the stuff to eat?

We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.
