Fax application

Hi techies, Hope u all are fine. I have to develop an application to send fax in C#. So far the knowledge i gathered I need a modem for it. But I have internet connection through LAN not by telephone line through modem. Can I send Fax under this scenario ie without modem? Regards Rajeev

as far as i have got, you need to make and execute a service on server where Modem exists. and make an application for your LAN client whenever a fax is being sent you forward the fax document to server's service and it will send the fax. and all this will be invisible for User. that is wot i would do ... however there are many webservices available for you to use for this purpose .. 3rd parties provide services to send FAX from Internet**
