Cool! How is it that every generation seems to always be able to find some kind of body modification that freaks out the previous generation. You'd think there would come a limit at some point, but I doubt there ever will be. I wonder what the future has in store a few generations away? Got to be DNA modification of some kind, maybe green skin like the hulk etc. One sci-fi book I read a while back (forget which one) had people having their eye sockets rotated 180 degrees so that they blinked vertically. This was for cosmetic reasons only.

I would think a safer alternative would be a clear contact lens with a design drawn around/near the edge.
