Friday!

The weekend has almost arrived, just a few hours to go.... :jig: The question is, how do we get through those few hours? Any clever ideas for getting through the rest of the day? Today's Dilbert[^] was a good start, but what now?

Thanks Colin :) You live in a really lovely country. Although I will be spending my lunch hour down at the river in the sun, I will be spending this evening changing all mention of "valleys" on the Scotland album to "glens" :-O

It's only a few hours, "sit and wait" should work ;) If that is too boring, you can.. ...clean up your desk/desktop ...kill a few minutes making coffee/tea/whatever ...look out of the window (hmmm.....sunlight!) ...read codeproject ... ... ... ...

Corinna John wrote: ...look out of the window (hmmm.....sunlight!) They let you look out windows where you work? :(
:omg: Where do you work?! Of course my office has got a window. I don't think there is a room without windows in this building - except the cellar, but there are no offices, only poor old servers. My window is on the southern side. In summer it becomes too warm in here, but today it is only very bright daylight :)

Not yet, but I'd *really* love to! Actually - perhaps you could tell me, if I were to come to an Eastern country, and wear my normal clothing (jeans, shorts, etc) would people be insulted? There seems to be very little info on travelling to places like Iran as well - a pity, so much history to discover :(

Don't get me wrong I like a break, but I would much rather have three day weekends for most of the year than a week off here and a week off there. This time I was also really enjoying my work before the holiday so I am looking forward to going back on Monday to carry it on. Lol it looks like I can't say anything innocent here anymore can I? Actually all I'm doing is working on an entry level customisation of one of our products. One of the suggestions that's been made is to increase the size of the toolbar buttons (as there are so many fewer of them and it'll be running on a small display), so I'm doing the groundwork for conditionally adding text to the toolbars which will be available in the product. The silly part comes if you turn annotations on for all 7 toolbars in the app... Anna :rose: Homepage | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. And then... can I dream for 3 hours... hmmm... unsure of that but I'll give a try. If I had a better memory I would remember more.

It depends on which country you go. In Iran unfortunately , at least women have to wear a scarf and mantue , but I don't think it would be so much hard for a short travel , cause I see so many foreign torrist which accept it , this cause the best seasons for travelling here become spring and fall. Most(not all) of Islamic country like this. But those are not like this are not as historic as Iran or have so many places to visit like Iran. Megan Forbes wrote: There seems to be very little info on travelling to places like Iran as well - a pity, so much history to discover You are right. Iran is between top 10 historic country , so imagine mow many place you could visit inside Iran and it would take so many weeks to finish it. But because of Islamic government they don't advertise for them. Also we have very very different climates in Iran which cause different part of Iran have various nature. Well if you come here you will have a guidance which will be glad to show his country to you. His name is Mazy. ;-) . Forget about clothing , it worth to visit Iran Thanks Mazy, I'd really love to come actually. And I'd have no problems wearing clothes which would keep people happy either - but at the same time I don't want to dress in traditional clothing and insult people :). We always laugh like crazy when tourists come to South Africa and wear safari suits :-D On a more general basis, are things like car hire available in Iran? Would someone on a British or South African passport have problems getting a visa? Although our travels are pretty much sorted for the next year or so, I would be genuinely interested in visiting Iran and seeing all the ancient history you have there :).
