Hi, I just wanted to ask if I'm the only one who has been getting a mail lately, with subject "Can we swap links?" where a Richard Newman presumably wants to swap links with me, based articles on CodeGuru - which he refers to as "Your great website". The first time I was flattered, and took my time answering the guy. Stupid me! In the following days I recieved several mails with the exact same wording, and I never got a response when I replied to any of the mails. Has anybody recieved the same mail, and if so, am I the only one smelling spam here? Christian Skovdal Andersen

It must be some kind of spambot that is scouring sites like CodeProject and CodeGuru. I've had dozens sent to me. I'm thinking I'm not going to swap links. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

I'm not going to either. I just *kicks* myselves for being so naive, and actually answering a spambot. I can now label myself as being the guy who did'nt pass the Türing Test :-( Christian Skovdal Andersen

Yep, I've got it too (twice so far). Both times the quoted URL was a forum post here, so I reckon you're right :(. I might visit their site and see if there's a guestbook... Andy Metcalfe - Sonardyne International Ltd

Yep, he got me too. I had a little heads up however as the article he quoted finding me at was on the old MFCPRO site. http://www.visionx.com/mfcpro/ David
