Got a strange thing happening in IE. Most of the time, when I right click on a picture (in any web site) and go to properites, it prompts me if I want to allow an active-x and plugins to run. Cannot figure out what that would be for just bringing up the properties window on a graphic. Any ideas? Anything you can think of in the registry that could patch into the right click of a graphic? That is, if I wanted to do such a thing, do you have an idea in the registry you could patch into the browser? Rocky <>< www.HintsAndTips.com www.GotTheAnswerToSpam.com

Isn't that to do with that nutter lawsuit where any embedded media had to have some intermediary alert/confirmation dialog to not infringe on a patent? e.g. Flash, images, Java applets etc. I did a Windows Update awhile back and that behaviour started. Then about a week ago I updated again and now the behaviour has stopped. Maybe try and update. Or use FireFox ;) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand? Einstein says...

Same thing happens to me. I find it very strange, as you said. Now, I use FireFox.

Terry O`Nolley wrote: That sounds weird! Yeah it does. It probably happened after one of the Microsoft updates, but since it has happened to others, I will not worry too much about it. Just would be insterested to know what active-x object or script it is trying to run ;) Rocky <>< www.HintsAndTips.com www.GotTheAnswerToSpam.com
