Any one know what this program is? I is trying to access the network and causing 100% CPU usage. If I do not kill it before getting on line, then it crashes the system. I am currently waiting for a reply from my ISP, before removing it completely from my system. INTP

      Probably a W32/Sasser spin-off. http://msn.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=125007[^] Hope that helps. -- Henrik Stuart (http://www.unprompted.com/hstuart/)

:-DThank you very much! That was exactly what it was! The program from mcafee found 5 files and removed them. This is a new machine and will have antivirus installed on it today. :-DThanks again! INTP

This has been identified as either W32.Sasser.B.Worm or W32.Sasser.C.Worm the only difference is the number of infection threads that are spawned - the "B" version does 128 and the "C" version does 1024. All of the major AV firms have write-ups now - Nortons write-up[^] Steve
