hey - i vaguely remember a couple of weeks ago someone posting about IIS hanging after installing an update from Windows Update...I can't seem to find the hotfix number or the original post. Does anyone have any information around that??? Thanks! Marcus Spitzmiller "Why must life be so hard? Why must I fail at every attempt at masonry?" - Homer

Hanging's too good for it. Just put a bullet in it and move along...;P Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

:):) Haha...Yeah I know, but I'm just trying to play around with some ASP.NET on my laptop, which I haven't done up until this point..I'm not much of a web guy, so I'm keeping it simple for now! (putting on flame-proof underwear, t-shirt, trousers, and socks): Resolution: Uninstall IIS. Download Apache 2.0 from the Apache Group[^], and install it. You will not see the problem again. :-D "Fish and guests stink in three days." - Benjamin Franlkin

Nor will you see any rich content without writing crappy PHP or arcane Java servlets and taglibs (etc). Say bye-bye to ASP.NET.
