Anybody here in the U.K. using HomeChoice yet? I am interested in actual user experience, instead of being the guinea pig myself... (HomeChoice is a digital TV/Radio/Inet service, all over DSL - their site FYI[^]). TIA, Bernd

I know someone who uses them, and is currently leaving for greener pastures. The TV is pretty crap - the same stuff over and over again for a month - if you want that included rather look at NTL (the cross I personally bear) or Telewest. Homechoice seem to give their email addresses out. The chap I know uses only his hotmail address on websites, yet he gets a minimum of 70 spam emails *every day*. However, as a legal disclaimer, I have no proof that Homechoice sells email addresses... :~

Thanks Megan, Good to hear there are actual HomeChoice users around. I bear NTL digicable, too, and see dropouts and lack of interactive service (I am in a formerly C&W area). When you said the TV was crap, did you relate that to the TV on Demand offerings, or to the fact that all channels repeat stuff over and over again? Any rating on image quality, and overal robustness, speed and availability? I am independent from the ISP's email system, so that's not a problem. Bernd

Any rating on image quality, and overal robustness, speed and availability? I can't comment too much I'm afraid - have only seen it a couple of times. The subscriber seemed rather unhappy about the frequency of repeats on each channel (I think he was subscribed to the nature and history channels). The actual service seems pretty quick, so if you aren't interested in email it may be a good solution - I'm probably not qualified to say :)
