I have to be here at work all alone this weekend. Just being on call not doing any programming. I was sitting here and thought I'd closed my eyes only for a second but realized that I was out cold when I fell out of my chair. Wow Better get some cafeine. Anyone else have trouble staying awake at work? I won't dignify your question with an answer.
Yes, I program in VB6, but only because I'm addicted to eating!

It is just hard to get motivated today. I haven't fallen asleep yet but I am thinking about closing up and heading home early.

One of our program managers does it all the time - but he is diabetic and refuses to give up his heavy sugar and greasy food intake... X| Steve

What is the problem with sleeping if you are on call. Won't then call you???? .. Surly the phone/pager/email alert will wake you up?? I always though sleeping went part in parcel with being on-call. Regards, Brian Dela :-) http://www.briandela.com IE 6 required.

I used to keep one of those really thin sleeping matts that you can roll up under my desk for just that situation. Divert the support line to your mobile, set ringing volumn to max and your all set for a good days sleep.
