Chat / IRC etc

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was a chat or IRC where most of you are hanging and getting direct help or giving some. Would be nice if there was a specific CodeProject chat channel somewhere or even CP-C++, CP-COM, CP-ATL, etc, channels on an IRC server where we could go and get faster help than waiting for a reply on a post. Or maybe i'm too impatient to get my problem solved :sigh:. I know i'd be the kind to help in that kind of place. DarkByte

There used to be a Sonork channel http://www.sonork.com/[^] but I haven't seen much mention of it lately. (I can't even remember my ID :-O) Brad Bruce

IRC seems to be outside the scope of most Windows developers' daily communication. Alas it's just too textual, and perhaps even too complicated for the GUI-minded. Personally, these days I mostly just lurk in channels in which people are most likely to post torrents for any Interesting Things that happen to pop up on the internet from time to time. IRC used to be an integral part of my social sphere, but I had to pull out the plug a bit because it was consuming a lot of my energy. The only thing I use IRC for is de v questions, and the two channels I use are on irc.freenode.net. The primary one is for the VCF (#vcf) and the other is for Mac OS development on #macdev. I used to also hang out on #gtk but that appears to have been dead for the last year. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire!
