So about 2 minutes ago, I'm browsing CP and all of the sudden, the cursor stops moving. I'm like, WTF, so I try my touchpad (I'm on a Dell 8200 Laptop running XP). No response there either. I've been trying to run for as long as possible without rebooting, so I go to check my uptime since I'm thinking I may have to reboot now. The result?

    \\XXXXXXXXX has been up for: 42 day(s), 0 hour(s), 1 minute(s), 50 second(s)

Interesting. Maybe it really is time to reboot. :suss: Chris Richardson

I know, when I saw the uptime was damn near exactly 42 days (like to the second) I couldn't believe it. If my laptop was a sony I think I would have had to hire an exorcist ;) Chris Richardson

See his post two threads below. He's another sony hater :) "I believe I referred to her personality as a potential science exhibit." - Elaine, about Ellen, in "The Dog"

Has anyone seen Benjymous around here lately? Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

At least WinMe lets you repair it... Most of the service calls I've answered for Me systems have been resolved by restoring previous configurations. It took Microsoft until WinXP to make creating restore points automatic; any tech could have told them that users won't do this manually, but they never asked us. Fortunately I've trained my customers to be smarter than the average user.:-D Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.
