If Something works in Netscape there is a way it has to work in IE. If Something works in IE it may never ever work in any X Release of Netscape. :)

Someone having Netscape problems, eh? (just spent a pleasant 2 hrs banging my head against Netscape myself :)) cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

This looks like a very good reason to develop your WWW pages using Netscape as the main testing platform :)
Yep Use Netscape and design very plain boring pages . But i feel now i would design webpages for IE and for netscape users really dont care how it is displayed. As long as it comes in Netscape and is totally plain and boring it would serve the users of Netscape right for their likes and users of IE can have a good feel. That is the way world now seems to be doing. I think time for me to join the band wagon. And me better do that slowly or the Netscape Warriors would spoil the peace.

I too have banged my head in vain for more than a week now. I would prefer to have a shell browser than Netscape. :((

Yep - that's pretty much how everyone seems to be going. Give Netscape users a plain text version that is functional, and give the other 90% of users a cool website that is fun to use. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

And hey - don't forget www.opera.com or the other ton of browsers (http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/WWW/Browsers/) --- See me: www.magerquark.de

Well, let's face it, the odds of either of the two Netscape users alive living close enough to come over and punch you one for not supporting them are pretty slim.... I was a rabid Netscaper during the browser wars ( as if you wouldn't have guessed... ) but the fact is that in typical M$ fashion, what started as a lousy product got worked on until it was the best. I downloaded Netscape 6 out of curiosity and it was just a nightmare of biblical proportions. My old boss used Netscape 3 and I couldn't get him to understand why my web page wouldn't come up properly for him. Out went the cool stuff. in came the boring site visible to people who are scared to update software, because it's working now. I have a lot of people visiting my web site that are accademics / university lecturers in the UK. They all seem to use Netscape as they all hate Microsoft. I tend to agree, but writing a page for both is such a pain!!
