I am preparing to Microsoft 70-229 examination. And I found the following information (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcpexams/faq/procedures.asp[^]): The new scale requires a minimum passing score of 700 on all exams. The maximum score on the exams will vary depending on the complexity of the skills being measured. Does anybody know if there is a list of maximum scores for each exam?

Don't know of one. Of the half-dozen exams I've sat for, they've all been 1000 points. Why do you ask?

When I do 'demo' exams, I get something like 73%. So, I need to know what the maximum score is, to be able to estimate my chances of passing. If you are right and the maximum score is 1000 points in this case, then my chances aren't so good. You're so cute when you're frustrated. --from 'PDA' by Interpol

I don't get why people do this.. estimating your chances of passing... You waste time working things out (that in no way will help you pass the exam.. only make you worry about not passing it) that you could spend on improving your chances of passing. All you can do is your best.. so give it 100%... if you pass, you pass.. if you don't.. well, have a few drinks and forget about it. Do it some other time. Let me calculate... your chance of passing is... 700/1000=70%, 73-70=3, ... um...

            3%

            nice math skills, huh?
