First there were Script Kiddies now there are MSDN Kiddies.... Everytime I am looking for code examples on the net I find plenty of articles copied straight out of MSDN and posted on codeproject, good job MS can't be bothered to sue - yet :) for all those MSDN Kiddies out there at least change the font please. Oh and the biogs of these Kiddies are very amusing, may be codeproject should have a section for most unbelivable biog.... :)

There are whole web sites like that. How often it is that I Google for a fairly common problem, seeking additional information to that on MSDN, and lo, in the results there are many links, and I do follow the links, to find an exact copy of the same topic from MSDN. My blog.

I got no problem with people copying content of MSDN, in fact I wait for the day when the whole of MSDN is available as an RSS feed so that I can host the articles I want and display it as I want and give full credit to the originators of the work. The thing I hate is the fact that alot of articles on cp suggest that these people wrote the original articles, the consequence of this is that they don't have the in-depth knowledge to help cp readers who might have configuration problems running the code or a more in-depth question about the article subject.

I agree with you totally. Even if MS doesn't care I'm sure the person who wrote that article (on MSDN) will be mad as hell to see his content being copied left and right. "I believe I referred to her personality as a potential science exhibit." - Elaine, about Ellen, in "The Dog"
