Space Race Flashback

During the heat of the space race in the 1960's, the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) decided it needed a ball-point pen to write in the zero gravity confines of its space capsules. After considerable research and development, the Astronaut Pen was developed at a cost of $1 million. The pen worked and also enjoyed some modest success as a novelty item back here on earth. The Soviet Union, faced with the same problem, used a pencil. The Canadians and Australians - because CodeProject has Bob and thus access to alien technology, and NASA et al don't :-) And the reason for the slowdowns here lately is due to the wonky integration of that alien technology, ASP 3.0, 1000 Pocket PCs running SQL Server CE, a Taiwanese counterfeit copy of Babbages Analytical Engine, and the legal entity known as "Chris Maunder" melting the only cranial interface available to maintain it all successfully.
