Thanks. The '~' is because we may end up with 3, 2, or 1. It all depends upon several factors. Most likely, if we only get 1, it will be because that child has health problems that we would need to address (like cleft palate). John

Tomorrow morning, my wife and I are headed to Ukraine for about a month to adopt ~2 children! It's been an incredibly busy few weeks, with this last week being even more busy. I will only be able to check here for another 4 hours, but if anyone has any must see sites that they know of in or near Kiev, it would be great to hear about it! John

You have to report back and tell is if Chicken Kiev is indeed from Kiev. (And if it is tastier there.) :-D An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

I hear that we'll be eating lots of beets and runny eggs, but I'm not sure about Chicken Kiev, yet. ;) John

You are doing a right and good thing IMO. Is this through a Ukrainian Children adoption agency or is there some kind of global adoption agency? regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Ian Darling wrote: "and our loonies usually end up doing things like Monty Python." Thanks. I just got back 3 days ago. Actually, we aren't using an agency at all. The method we used is called an independent adoption, but we payed for translators and a facilitator to help us -- know where to go and what to do, deal with people for us, work through all the paperwork, etc. The woman who travelled with us and did the majority of the work for us was very nice and extremely capable. She also does this work for some agencies, so we basically skipped the middle man and saved thousands of dollars. John
