I just discovered U2. Such an excellent rock band! I can't understand how I've managed to neglect them all these years. I even have an original LP album of theirs (Joshua Tree). -- Denn du bist, was du isst! Und ihr wisst, was es ist! Es ist mein Teil...?

Ah, U2, all my youth! the "War" album is an enormous souvenir, and I would recommend to begin by the beginning, "Boys" and "October". And their post "zooropa" period is also worth of discovering it, IMHO.

Well I was given the Joshua Tree album when I was a kid. I remember Where The Streets Have No Name was a hit back then. I believe I have that single too. But for some reason I managed to not hear them. Until now! Same thing with Judas Priest. I didn't start to listen to them until long after they broke up. -- Denn du bist, was du isst! Joshua tree was the first rock concert I ever saw. Man that takes me back. They put on a really good show. My favorite U2 album was their live show at red rocks.

You know that most of those songs have some sort of religious conotation right, Jörgen? Isn't that against your non-religion? [Not saying that you have to buy into the lyrics to like the songs. If you're listening primarily for the band's ability to play music, then you'll be alright. ;)]
